Sudan Volunteer Organization (S.V.O)
Who we Are?
Who we Are?
SVO is entirely run by refugees. All work is done by Sudanese refugees who live in different
countries around the world. The intention of SVO is to improve life in the refugee camps and is
based on the deep conviction that all humans are equal, that everyone has the right to live a
life in dignity. More specifically, SVO focuses on supporting the most vulnerable refugees by
offering education for disabled children, strengthening women and by improving care for
the elderly. All of SVOs work is voluntary grassroots work, both in Chad and in Sweden. In
Sweden SVO works to provide support to everything that needs to happen in Chad. SVOs
power lies in the commitment and solidarity of its volunteer workers as well as in mutually
beneficial cooperation with other organisations.

Where we work?
SVO operates in Chad, all volunteer work is done in the refugee camps of Kounongo, Mile and other camps.
SVO even runs an office in N'Djamena, the capital of Chad, this is necessary to make the work
of SVO possible. Operations in Sweden, U.S and British. They are entirely aimed at supporting efforts in Chad. In
Sweden, we work to provide operational support (e.g. materials needed), psycho-social
support (visits, encouragement), knowledge transfer (e.g. how to enable disabled children),
and last but not least humble financial support.
